Modest Mouse - “Dashboard”
Here’s a nice throwback to last summer (for me at least, anyway). I always loved Modest Mouse’s faster-paced tracks — Isaac Brock tends to freak out more on these tracks vocally, which I like. Plus, you know, it’s nice out, and listening to fun pop music on sunny days is pretty much the best.

Good call. It’s rare to see grime shit do well (the closest I’ve seen is Hadouken! so far). This only proves that its momentum is definitely on the upswing.
The new Q-Tip track. It’s super chill, and definitely harkens back to the early 90’s Tribe vibe… check the backing flute and piano, as well as Tip’s trademark smooth vocal acrobatics (via XXL)
HEALTH - Heaven (Narctrax Remix)
I really really enjoy the HEALTH // DISCO remix album. It’s awesome how it can maintain the excellent drone-y noise rock that blogs have been going nuts for, and at the same time provide a little more mass appeal by adding enough movement to the songs to where it holds your attention (and can make you move, under the right conditions). Check this out to see what I mean.
